AMC news – Proposal To Finance Ministry For Health Care Budget

1. The Government should declare healthcare as priority sector and give it infrastructure status for making available cheaper finance. Government must provide land at highly subsidized rates for setting up hospitals in rural area to keep investment low.
2. Health should be brought under concurrent list thereby increasing the influence of policy decisions at the centre on the entire health care sector.
3. Life saving drugs and equipments should be totally exempt from custom duty and Excise duty and for all other drugs and equipments the custom duty and excise duty should not exceed 5%
4. Reimbursement of purchase of medicines and domiciliary treatment under Provision of Sec 17(2) is Rs.15000/- It should be increased to Rs.45000=00
